Here's a slice of our story

Welcome to Baked Columbia Pizza, co-created by Sohini and Mayur, a husband-and-wife chef duo united by a love for food, culture, and the art of hospitality. What began as a fascination with global flavors and culinary traditions has evolved into a journey that has taken us from India to the United States and now to Canada. 

Our journey started in India, where we gained experience across various segments of the hospitality industry. After packing our bags (and our appetites!), we moved to New York City, immersing ourselves in the city’s vibrant food scene. There, we learned from renowned chefs and experienced firsthand how a great meal can bring people together. 

Our passion led us to Canada, where we matured as culinary professionals undertaking specialized culinary courses and gradually stepping into managerial roles at different styles of cooking—from Southern BBQ to ramen to sourdough pizzas—before ultimately finding our calling in crafting artisanal pizzas infusing global flavors. A pivotal moment was attending a sourdough masterclass in Las Vegas, refining the craft that now defines our pizzas. 

The name Baked Columbia Pizza is inspired by two key elements: ‘Baked’ symbolizing our dedication to crafting fresh, handmade, artisanal pizzas from scratch. And ‘Columbia’ pays homage to the birthplace of our brand and its prime location, British Columbia in Canada! 

With years of experience and a commitment to quality, we founded Baked Columbia Pizza to bring something unique to our community: pizzas that honor tradition while embracing creativity. Every dough we ferment, every topping we choose, and every slice we serve is a reflection of our journey, our experiences, and our dedication to excellence. We are here to share that with you—one pizza at a time and invite you to have a slice (perhaps a whole pizza!) and join us in celebrating the synthesis of tradition and innovation.
